Rusk Bible Church is a church plant from Fellowship Bible Church which was established in 1986 as an independent, non-denominational body of believers. A group of families called Jim Wilson, a recent graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary to be the planting pastor of the new church. Jim served as pastor there from 1986-1992. As the church grew, land was purchased and the current facilities were constructed.

The Lord put it on the heart of the elders of Fellowship Bible church to plant a church in Rusk and the building in Rusk was purchased from the First Presbyterian Church in August 2024 and after much renovations the church was launched on Easter Sunday April 20th 2025.

When you come to join us for the first time, one of our greeters will be glad to help you become comfortable. If you'd like, they'll help you find the nursery (which is fully staffed and safely run), restrooms, sanctuary and, of course, coffee, donuts, and sometimes quiche before and after the service.

During the service, you'll hear our faith expressed in the songs we sing, prayers we offer up and our pastor's preaching. All parts of our service are grounded in the Bible, which we are committed to upholding. After the service, we are not in a huge hurry to leave as we stick around and talk to with each other and. Say hello to our pastor and anyone else you see. We'd all love to hear your story and share ours with you.
